Position Summary

The Chief Risk Officer (CRO) will oversee the company's risk management strategies, policies, and processes. As part of the senior leadership team, the CRO is responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks across all operational and financial areas. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in risk management and compliance, ensuring that the company remains resilient in a constantly evolving market.

You will take on the following responsibilities:

  • Risk Management Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks in financial, operational, and regulatory areas and evaluate their potential impact on the business.
  • Compliance Oversight: Ensure that the company complies with all relevant regulations and internal policies, coordinating closely with compliance teams.
  • Risk Mitigation: Design and implement risk mitigation strategies to safeguard the company’s assets and ensure business continuity.
  • Reporting: Regularly report risk management findings to the board of directors and other key stakeholders, providing actionable insights for informed decision-making.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including finance, operations, and legal, to foster a culture of risk awareness and ensure proper risk controls are in place.

You should possess the following qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certifications (CFA, FRM) is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in risk management, preferably in a financial or investment setting.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive change.
  • Analytical Skills: Expertise in financial analysis and risk modeling to assess and mitigate risks effectively.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements and how they impact the business.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate risk-related issues to senior management and the board, providing strategic recommendations.
