Position Summary
The Portfolio Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the investment portfolios of the firm’s clients. You will play a key role in determining the right mix of assets and strategies to meet client objectives, while maintaining a strong focus on risk management and market conditions. This position requires a combination of strategic planning, research, and interpersonal skills to ensure the firm’s portfolio remains competitive in a fast-paced market.
You will take on the following responsibilities:
- Portfolio Management: Design and manage investment portfolios based on client needs, market trends, and risk tolerance.
- Asset Allocation: Develop and implement strategies for asset allocation across various asset classes, including equities, bonds, and alternative investments.
- Risk Management: Evaluate and manage the risks associated with portfolio investments, ensuring compliance with client guidelines and firm policies.
- Research: Conduct in-depth research on market trends, industry developments, and individual assets to guide investment decisions.
- Client Reporting: Provide regular updates to clients on the performance of their portfolios, including risk assessments and recommendations for adjustments.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other investment professionals to coordinate efforts and ensure the alignment of the firm's investment strategies.
You should possess the following qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field. An MBA or CFA is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in portfolio management, with a proven track record of managing client portfolios successfully.
- Analytical Skills: Strong understanding of financial markets, asset allocation strategies, and risk management.
- Communication Skills: Ability to clearly present portfolio strategies and performance results to clients and senior management.
- Client Management: Experience in managing client relationships and aligning portfolio strategies with client goals.
- Attention to Detail: High degree of accuracy and thoroughness in analyzing market data and preparing client reports.
