Position Summary

The Quantitative Research Analyst will play a key role in developing and implementing quantitative models to drive the investment process. You will work with a team of analysts and portfolio managers to analyze financial markets, back-test strategies, and develop algorithms that enhance the firm’s investment performance. This position requires a strong background in mathematics, statistics, and programming to turn raw data into actionable investment insights.

You will take on the following responsibilities:

  • Quantitative Analysis: Conduct in-depth quantitative analysis to develop investment strategies, risk models, and financial forecasts.
  • Back-testing: Design and implement back-testing models to evaluate the performance of various investment strategies under historical market conditions.
  • Data Management: Gather, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify patterns and generate actionable insights for portfolio managers.
  • Model Development: Develop and refine quantitative models that support the firm’s investment decisions, using statistical software and programming languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with portfolio managers and other analysts to ensure that quantitative models align with the overall investment strategies.

You should possess the following qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in quantitative research or related fields. Strong candidates with academic experience may also be considered.
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB for quantitative modeling and data analysis.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong mathematical and statistical analysis skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to clearly present complex quantitative concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
